Designed for those who want to experience the raw, untouched beauty of the mountains while enjoying comfort and local culture, this circuit will leave you with stories worth telling.
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Your Ladakh journey begins as you land at Leh Airport, one of the world’s highest airports. A warm welcome awaits, followed by a comfortable transfer to your hotel. The first day is reserved for much-needed acclimatization to the altitude. Spend the day relaxing or taking a gentle walk around the Leh Market in the evening. Soak in the vibe of this high-altitude desert town nestled in the lap of the Himalayas.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before setting out to explore Leh’s cultural and historical gems. Visit the iconic Shanti Stupa that offers panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains. Continue to Leh Palace — a 17th-century royal residence resembling a miniature Potala Palace. Then head to Magnetic Hill, the mysterious stretch of road that defies gravity, and see the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam Point. Return to the hotel by evening for a restful night.
Day 3: Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Gear up for a scenic and thrilling drive over Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at over 18,000 feet. As you descend into Nubra Valley, you’ll be mesmerized by its stark beauty and contrasting landscapes. Visit Diskit Monastery, home to a giant statue of Maitreya Buddha, and take in the views from its hilltop perch. Later, enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes of Hunder village where the rare double-humped Bactrian camels await. Overnight stay in Nubra in a cozy camp or hotel.
Day 4: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok Route
After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking drive to Pangong Lake via the adventurous Shyok route. The journey itself is dotted with dramatic landscapes and river crossings. Upon reaching Pangong, you’ll be greeted by a stunning sight — a crystal-clear lake that changes color with the light. It’s one of the most iconic locations in Ladakh, famous from Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots. Spend your evening by the lakeside, watch the reflection of mountains in the still water, and settle in for an unforgettable night under the stars.
Day 5: Pangong to Leh via Chang La
Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass, yet another high-altitude adventure. En route, stop by Thiksey Monastery — a stunning Tibetan-style structure housing beautiful murals, statues, and a huge Maitreya Buddha. Also visit Shey Palace, the former royal residence of Ladakh. Return to Leh by evening and enjoy your last night in this Himalayan haven.
Day 6: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, it’s time to check out from your hotel. Our driver will drop you at Leh Airport for your onward journey. As you fly over the endless mountains and valleys, take with you not just photos but memories of a land that feels like another world — pure, peaceful, and powerful.
